She was predeceased by: her sisters, Mary Jo Hutchings, Susan Richards and Linda Scannell; and her parents, Paul Kurtyka and Chloe Kurtyka (Landry).
She is survived by: her children, Alex O'Brien of Rutland and Stacey Happy (Derek) of West Boylston; her grandchildren, Chloe, Charlotte, Chelsea, Michael and Ophelia; her former husband Edward T. O'Brien, Jr.; and her siblings, Michael Kurtyka of Limestone, ME, Deborah Tierney of New Port Richie, FL and Gladys Hill of Douglas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Book Hotel Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605).
