He was predeceased by: his pet Bella. He is survived by: his parents, George Gates and Cecelia Gates; his wife Jacqueline of Oxford; his daughter Meghan Rose (Andrew) of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut; his siblings, Andrew of Carlsbad, California, Timothy (Rachel) of Cumming, Georgia and Lynn Rios (Rolando) of Worcester; and his aunt Paula. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. George's Catholic Church (40 Brattle St, Worcester, MA 01606). The military honors will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery (111 Glenallen St, Winchendon, MA 01475).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Sky, Project New Hope, the Worcester Rotary Club, or a veterans organization of your choice in Chris's memory.
