He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen (O'Brien); his children, Michael F. Thorpe (MaryAnn) of Fiskdale, Andrew P. Thorpe (Shannon) of North Reading and Mary Kate Bailey (Alex) of South Windsor, CT; his grandchildren, Emma, Matthew, Mia and Samantha Phelps (Christopher) of Rutland; his great grandchildren, CJ and Dylan; and his siblings, Patricia Thorpe, Dottie Steele and Ronald Allen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
