He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Yvonne Basque (Chaume); his son James Basque (Julie); his stepdaughters, Nancy Frey (Bob) and Susan Lamontagne (Gary); his grandchildren, Kate, Andrew, Gary, Matthew and David; his great grandchildren, Henry, Miles and Jaxon; his sister-in-law Pauline Basque; his parents, Anthony Basque and Alma Basque; and his siblings, Lionel Basque, Marguerite Emma, Doris Lortie and Lorraine Rousseau. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Edward the Confessor Church (10 Church St, Westminster, MA 01473). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Woodside Cemetery (3 Narrows Rd, Westminster, MA 01473).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
