He is survived by: his wife Betzaida; his children, Ernesto Diaz (Mildred Alvarez) and Iris Cruz (Francisco); his stepchildren, Angela Prieto-Grant, Frank Arroyo, Maria Colon, Manuel Rios, Angelo Colon and Jesus Alberto Ortiz; and his siblings, Luis Diaz and Laura Diaz. He is also survived by two grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
