She was predeceased by: her husband James M. Karet; and her sister Elisabeth Farber Rubin of Del Mar, California.. She is survived by: her children, Thomas A. Karet (Laura) of Pittsburgh and Katherine E. Karet (Jeff Levick) of New York City; and her grandchildren, William, Charles, Alexa Karet, Liliana and Oliver Levick. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family welcomes contributions in Evelyn's memory to The Worcester Art Museum and the Worcester Chamber Music Society.
