Georgia Athanasiou Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Georgia Athanasiou of Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Athanasiou; her parents, Michael Basdravanis and Konstantina Basdravanis (Pantazis); and her sister Lamprini Milionis (Basdravanis). She is survived by: her children, Toula Lavelle (Michael) of East Longmeadow, MA and Nick Athanasiou of Worcester, MA; her grandchildren, Shawn Lavelle (Jennifer) of Centreville, VA, Erin, Carmine Keane of Ludlow, MA, Kara, Joe Sweeney of East Longmeadow, MA, Michael Athanasiou (Anastasia) of Hopkinton, MA and Christina Athanasiou of Worcester; and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Colin Sweeney, Rose, Maeve Lavelle, Peyton, Aubrey Keane, Zoey and Nicholas Athanasiou. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
