She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maurice Simarano and Mary Simarano (Cosenza); her husband Francis "Billy" Bastardo; her sons, Robert W. Bastardo (Tina) and Brian D. Bastardo; her grandchildren, Vanessa Polinski (Anthony), Ryan, Jake, Derek, Shawn (Elisa) and Matthew; her great grandchild Elizabeth; her nieces and nephews, Julie, Katie, Gina, Cara and Dara (Gino); her siblings-in-law, Bernard Bastardo (Joan) and Donna Ruggieri (George); and her friends, Sandy, Carol, Angela, Michele, Rosie, Cheryl, June, Joyce and Liz. She was also cherished by many cousins and aunts.
In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston.
