He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Collins (McKiernan); his parents, Ralph L. Collins and Evelyn Collins (Maxfield); and his siblings, David W. Collins and Ann C. O'Connell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Moira E. Collins-Cook of Providence, RI, Deidre M. Collins of Cambridge, MA and Karen C. Smith (Stuart) of Asheville, NC.; and his grandsons, Franklin M. Collins-Cook and Brendan E. Smith. He is also survived by grandsons, along with the rest of his family and his friends.
