Jeanne Haskell Obituary

Jeanne E. Haskell, 63, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, June 7th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. She leaves two daughters, Kaitlyn Haskell of Virginia and Meghan Haskell of Ashland; a brother, Stephen MacDonald of Woburn; two sisters, Lee MacDonald of Woburn and Jean Goodall of Paxton; a niece and four nephews. She was born in Arlington, the daughter of Charles and Patricia (Hughes) MacDonald. Jeanne worked for Leggett & Platt as a shipping & receiving clerk. She was an avid fan of the Bruins, Patriots, WooSox and the Worcester Rugby Team. The Cape was like a second home to Jeanne, where she could often be found on the beaches of Dennis Port. She enjoyed volunteering for local veteran associations. Jeanne had a passion for animals and fostered Cunucu dogs from Aruba. She had an active social life and her infectious smile would light up the room. Jeanne enjoyed travelling to different music venues, especially to see her favorite local band, Clamdigger. Calling hours are Sunday, June 12th from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Michael Halberstam wrote a sympathy message

“I am devastated to hear of the passing of Jeannie. I first met her in 1986 and later hired her to work for ISA. She was one of the kindest people I ever met and one of the hardest workers any company could ask for. My condolences to Kaitlyn and Meghan who I first met when they were little and moved to CA when Jeannie first worked at ISA. Michael Halberstam and the ISA Family”

Kate Haskell wrote a comment

“Thank you for your kind words, Michael. And thank you for all the kindness you showed our mum. She was able to take care of my sister Meg and I thanks to ISA. I have faint memories of visiting when we were younger and how everyone was so nice to us. Wishing you the best, - Kaitlyn”
