He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Gurlitz and Alice Gurlitz (King). He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Gurlitz (Claire) of Worcester, Lois Gurlitz of Worcester, Thomas Gurlitz (Kathryn) of Virginia, Daniel Gurlitz of Plum Island and Jill Lund (Kevin) of Windham, NH. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews; extended family members and friends.

His family asks that memorial donations be considered to VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or to Veteran's Inc. 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
