He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Irene Merola (Inangelo) of Worcester; his children, Anthony Merola (Shawn Powers) of Worcester, George Merola (Jahaira Woods) of Worcester, Nanci Der Kazarian (Bryan Der Kazarian) of Rutland, John Pichierri (Melissa Pichierri) of Holden and Dawn Harding of Dorchester; his siblings, Albert Merola, Jr. of Gardner, Nancy Doyle of Mills and Rita Merola of Boston; and his parents, Albert P. Merola and Ruth Merola (Sutermiester). He was also cherished by 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to the ASPCA.
