With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John M. Mountzuris of Worcester, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Mountzuris and Nicoletta Mountzuris (Gamvas); his brother Arthur Mountzuris; and his significant other's sons, David, Jeffrey, Brian and Christopher Calcagni.
He is survived by: his significant other Priscilla Calcagni; his daughter-in-law Dr. Patricia Zub; his brother Ted Mountzuris; his sisters-in-law, Anna Mountzuris and Lisa Mountzuris Herrin; his sibling's children, Matthew Mountzuris, Marianthe Mountzuris (Monica Montgomery), Andrew and Christopher Mountzuris (Carly Anderson); his great-nephew Ezra Mountzuris; his aunt Sophia Moschos; Cole, Eli, Justina Calcagni, Tracy, Karen and Thomas Leary.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church (9 Central St, Marlborough, MA 01752). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central St, Marlborough MA or any animal shelter of your choice (in honor of his beloved dog Patches).
