With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John M. Mountzuris of Worcester, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Mountzuris and Nicoletta Mountzuris (Gamvas); his brother Arthur Mountzuris; and his significant other's sons, David, Jeffrey, Brian and Christopher Calcagni.
He is survived by: his significant other Priscilla Calcagni; his daughter-in-law Dr. Patricia Zub; his brother Ted Mountzuris; his sisters-in-law, Anna Mountzuris and Lisa Mountzuris Herrin; his nephews, Matthew Mountzuris, Andrew and Christopher Mountzuris (Carly Anderson); his niece Marianthe Mountzuris (Monica Montgomery); his great-nephew Ezra Mountzuris; his aunt Sophia Moschos; Cole, Eli, Justina Calcagni, Tracy, Karen and Thomas Leary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central St, Marlborough MA or any animal shelter of your choice (in honor of his beloved dog Patches).
