He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel C. Shea and Catherine Shea (Callahan); his wife Elaine; and his brothers, Daniel Shea and Francis Shea.

He is survived by: his son Michael P. Shea (Danielle); his grandchildren, Alivia Manzello (Justin) of Spencer and Colin Shea of Worcester; his stepgrandchildren, Averie Demers and Lukas Demers; his great grandchild Michael David Manzello; his brother Joseph R. Shea (Kathleen) of North Grafton; and his siblings-in-law, Sharron Staltare of Auburn and Paul Robillard (Donna) of Grafton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
