He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Antonio Veliz Guzman and Felicita Cornejo. He is survived by: his wife Raquel Mejia; his stepchildren, Dinorah Mejia, Michelle Hernandez and Miguel Hernandez; his grandson Oliver Webel; his son-in-law John Webel; his daughters, Abigail Velleante and Sarah Veliz; his sisters, Laura Navarro and Ana Milagros Cornejo; and his niece Lissette Cornejo.
