He was predeceased by: his grandfather Charles Greenleaf; and his father David Lainey. He is survived by: his wife Kellie Lainey (Larson); his daughter Alexandria; his mother Carol Fay (Greenleaf); his brother Aaron Lainey; his grandmother Gertrude Greenleaf; his aunt Linda; his uncle Dennis Granville; and his cousins, Brian and Kevin Granville.
