He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John F. McCormick and Dorothy H. McCormick (Robinson) of Peter's High School; his wife Kathleen A. McCormick (Mortell); his daughters, Tara Wardrop (Michael) of Scarborough, ME and Katie McCormick of Scarborough, ME; his grandchildren, Evan, Brooke, Julia, Nora and Lily; his sister Virginia "Ginny" Aiello (Dennis) of West Boylston; his stepchildren, Brett, Melissa, Lindsay and Adam Richards of West Boylston; his stepgrandchildren, Johnny, Jason, Vivian, Lola, Mason and Emma; his brother John F. McCormick, III; and his sister-in-law Pauline A. McCormick (Taffe).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fay Brothers Funeral Home (1 W Boylston St, West Boylston, MA 01583). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (111 Worcester St, West Boylston, MA 01583). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St., West Boylston, 01583 or to the UMass Memorial Advanced Transplant Program in support of the dedicated transplant team and the patient they care for.
