He was predeceased by: his parents, Olivica Messier (Roberts) and Dorilla Messier; his sister Theresa Gendron; and his grandson Ashton Runge. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Messier (Smith); his children, Michael Jeffers (Ellen), Laura Ferrante (John) and Amy Runge (Brandon); his grandchildren, Amanda (Javin), Cole (Cheyenne), Angela, Gabrielle (Alex) and Lucas; and his great grandchild Josephine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
