He was predeceased by: his daughter Carolyn White; his siblings, Rene Simard and Leda Cofelice; his granddaughter Crystal Clark; and his parents, Leo N. Simard, Sr. and Ora Simard (Gravel).

He is survived by: his wife Ferne Simard (Reid); his children, Jeffrey Capparella of Worcester and Sherry Hannan (David) of Worcester; his grandsons, Robert J. Clark and Nicholas Capparella; and his pets, Zippy and Alice.
