He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Louis J. Desy, Jr. of Shrewsbury, Leon J. Desy (Maria) of Millbury and Jesmyn Desy (Steve Babin) of Keller, TX; his siblings, Owen J. Desy and Judith Anderson; and his parents, Owen R. Desy, Sr. and Margaret Desy (Powers). He was also cherished by two grandsons and several nephews and nieces.

A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Church (357 Grafton St, Worcester, MA 01604).
