She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph P. "Sully" Sullivan, Sr.; her siblings, Margaret McGuigan, John, Edward, Raymond, Thomas and Gerald McDermott; and her parents, Edward McDermott and Margaret McDermott (Flynn).

She is survived by: her children, Joseph P. Sullivan, Jr. (Gloria), Margaret M. McKenna (Thomas), Edward P. Sullivan (Carol), Kathleen M. Crowley (Kevin) and Daniel F. Sullivan (Lisa); her grandchildren, Shauna Hoffey (Thomas), Kara Goodier (Keith), Joseph P. Sullivan, III, Gianna Caprioli, Alexia McKenna, Michaela, Kaitlin, Patrick, Michael Sullivan (Jessica), Conor, Shamus, Julia Crowley, Anthony and Nina Sullivan; her great grandchildren, Shaelin Hoffey, Dakota and Gabriella Goodier; her siblings, James McDermott and Kathleen Abraham; and her sister-in-law Ann Sullivan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
