With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary V. (Smith) James (Worcester, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Adolf Smith and Mary Ella Dawson. She is survived by : her brothers, Matthew Smith and James Thomas Smith; her sisters-in-law, Leslie Clark and Joan Mercer; her friends, Adele Beasley, Virginia and Dorothy Jones (Mary) of Worcester; her caregiver Linda Hilliard; her friends, Deacon Timmie and Cherie Phillips; and her sister Mary. She is also survived by cousins, great cousins, great- great cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
