He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Marie MacLean (Gillis); his daughter Sheila MacLean; his brother Allan MacLean; his former wife Margaret MacLean (Matheson); and his parents, Murdock MacLean and Mary MacLean (MacIver).
He is survived by: his children, Darrell MacLean of Worcester and Lucinda Zettek (Matthew) of Hopkinton; his grandson Matthew Zettek; and his siblings, Neil MacLean, Eunice Carmichael, Ferne Kenney and Rhodena MacLean. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
