He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Peter Olynyk and Magdalene Olynyk; and his brother Stephen Olynyk. He is survived by: his wife Marianne Olynyk (Holmes); his daughter Stephanie Porter (Jeffrey); his grandson Anderson; his son Daniel Rheaume (Danielle Ross) of Gardner, Massachusetts; his sister Andrea LaMarsh (Chad); and his nephew Trey LaMarsh of Bedford.

In accordance with his wishes, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pete's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
