He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Thi Thi Nguyen; his children, Phu Tran (Bich Giang) of Worcester, Nhan Tran (Lan Nguyen) of Holden, Dylan Tran (Thao Tran) of Shrewsbury, Vinh Tran (De Nguyen) of Worcester, Hoa Tran (Thap Bui) of Worcester and Hanh Tran (Hung Vuong) of Worcester; and his parents, Tuy Tran and Nang Huynh. He was also cherished by five brothers and sisters in Vietnam; and 18 grandchildren.
