He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Owens (Vayo); his children, Patrick Owens (Catherine) of Seabrook, NH and Michelle Owens of Milford, MA; his grandchildren, Kelly Marsocci (Anthony) and Michael Owens; his great grandchild Madison Marsocci; his brother Edward Owens (Virginia); his sisters-in-law, Judith Wheelden, Diane Hagan and Sharon Williams (David); his niece Heather Ferguson; and his parents, Thomas D. Owens and Martha A. Owens (Manski). He was also cherished by his family, especially his grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.

For nearly 20 years, Mike bravely battled Parkinson's disease, during which he demonstrated persistence and courage to continue his daily life.
