He was predeceased by: his wife Janice E. "Jan" Higgins (Atherton); his brother John E. Higgins; and his parents, Joseph L. Higgins and Anne Higgins (Daniels). He is survived by: his daughters, Jacquelyn A. Higgins of Newburyport, Laura K. Abely of Franklin and Amy M. Copponi (Mark) of Wrentham; his brothers, David M. Higgins of Norwood and Joseph L. Higgins; his grandsons, Joseph M. Abely, Justin H. Abely and Jack H. Copponi; and his great grandchild Charlotte Abely.
