We bid farewell to Amos O'Neill Harris of Aberdeen, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 16, 2025 at the age of 81. Amos O'Neill touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Beryl Jones Harris and Lydia Ann Harris (Ayers); his wife Brenda Harris; and his niece Patricia Webb. He is survived by: his children, Michael Harris (Melissa), Lena Mills (Douglas) and William Harris (Teresa); his grandchildren, Jessica Crawford, Matthew Harris (Melody), Julia Harris, Jared Harris, Kirsten Harris, Riley O'Neill Harris, Daniel Wyatt Creek (Jessica) and Lauren Creek; his great grandchildren, Carter Harris, Ariella Creek and Ricky Arnold; his sister Julianna Webb; his nieces, Michelle Webb Huddle and Cyndi McClancy; and his friends, Olivia Siryon, Susan Stershic, Linda Cerny, Bella Baugher and Melissa DeSouza.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Abingdon-McComas Family Funeral Homes (1317 Cokesbury Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Amos's memory to Gilchrist Music Therapy (https://gilchristcares.org) by selecting "Music Therapy" or to the Elizabeth K. Andrews Charity Fund in support of Alzheimer's and Dementia research.
