She is survived by: her husband Edward Gardner; her children, Donna Nichols (Ernest) of Aberdeen, MD, Dawn Simmons of North East, MD and Lance Simmons (Susan) of Elkton, MD; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Joseph, Jordan, Lydia and Clara; her great grandchildren, Mark and Alyssa; and her sisters, Portia Loomis (Allan) and Karean Sheldon.
