With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ersel Whitt Sr. of Aberdeen, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Ray Whitt and Sarah Elizabeth Whitt (Estep); his wife Mary Whitt (McCoy); his son-in-law Mark German; and his siblings, Cecil Whitt, Winford Whitt, Troy Whitt, Fred Whitt, Viola Davis, Clara Gills and Mary "Ruby" Toler.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Renshaw (Tom), Ersel Whitt, Jr. (Candace), Denise Rowe (John) and Deborah German. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
