The family announces the passing of Genevieve Leigh (Aberdeen, Maryland) on August 9, 2026. Genevieve, born on November 4, 1925 in Perryman, Maryland, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her husband Milton Wallace Leigh; her children, Sterling Dunlap Sheppard and Jerry Wayne Sheppard; and her parents, Elijah Green and Hazel Viola Sheppard Frisby.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Leigh Highler (Archie), Saundra Leigh Cobb, Rodwic V. Leigh, Reginald O. Leigh (Gretchen) and Iris Leigh Barnes. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of cousins, special friends, caregivers.
