He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Slaughter and Anna Soul (Gilbert); his spouse Shirley Gilbert (Garecht); and his daughter Debra Lynn Greer. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Gilbert (Donna), Michael Gilbert (Fran) and Shelby Williams (Lester); his son-in-law Bruce Greer; and his siblings, Frank Soul and Mary Ann Blake. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
