“Steve was a very good friend of mine from middle school onward. We lost touch after he left the army in the late 80's. He was like a brother to me, I wish we could have stayed close. My family treated him as one of our own, especially my mother. I'm saddened I only just now learned of his passing. I miss you my friend.”

“Steve was a cousin of mine. He was four years younger than me. However, my family moved away from the Baltimore area when I was seven, so my memories of Steve were when he was a scrawny kid. I saw him a few times after that when we would visit. He was always so thin--like my uncle Lester. I am sad that I never got to know him as an adult. Rest in Peace my cousin!”
