He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Ruth and Dorothy Ruth; and his brothers, Ray and Matt Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Ruth (Wroten); his children, Kim Deal (Brian), Mike Ruth (Stacy) and Katie McKee (Jake); his grandchildren, Brittany Thompson (Adam), Abby Proctor (Cody), Connor, Landon, Tyler, Sawyer and Carson; his great grandchildren, Ella, Hunner, Mason and Brayden; and his siblings, Chris Lorber (Tony), John Ruth and Jim Ruth (Kathie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 873 Long Dr, Aberdeen, MD 21001.

In Lieu of Flowers: Memorial donations may be made in Tom's memory to the Bob Hooper Hospice House (Forest Hill, MD) or the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
