She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Cleveland Bailey and Flora Alice Bailey (Smith); her husband Martin William Rothe, Sr.; and her brother Grover Bailey, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Martin Rothe, Jr. (Rhonda) and Donna Valentine; and her grandsons, Jon Valentine, Jr. and Eric Valentine. She is also survived by one great-great-grandson; and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
