He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Hinegardner and Naomi Elizabeth "Liz" Harmon (Kenney); and his sister Shirley Dare. He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Hinegardner (Kohls); his children, Sean Hinegardner (Jenn), Kristin Hinegardner and Alicia Curry; his brother Rondie Hinegardner; his grandchildren, Erik Moore, Logan Hinegardner, Cheyanne Crosby, Sebastian Martin, Levi Lamond, Ashlynn Hinegardner, Isiah Cox, Isabela Little-Hinegardner, Krystal Lee-Johns and Jessica Burkham; and his friends, Larry and Debbie Saylor.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Abingdon-McComas Family Funeral Homes (1317 Cokesbury Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
