She was predeceased by : her parents, Archie Smith and Mabel Smith (Ferebee); her sister Delores Bryant; her brother-in-law Jasper E. Johnson Jr.; and her nephew Jasper E. Johnson III.
She is survived by : her sister Barbara Johnson; her nieces and nephews, Tannes Johnson, Andrea Bryant, Vance Bryant and Kevin Bryant; her great-nephews, Ian Johnson and Jair Abdullah; her great-niece Sakinah Abdullah; her niece-in-law Toni Johnson; and her close friends, James Capers, Patricia McClintock, Marian Beasley, Priscilla Tilley-Nelson, Ellen Diggs, Bertha Haywood, Walt and Carol Srnec.
