She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Ernest and Sadie Madge Friend (Townsend); her husband Gerald Lee Glass; her siblings, Helen Friend, Ethel Hanft, Betty Friend and Woodrow Friend; and her son-in-law Philip K. Buckel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sondra R. Buckel of Bittinger, MD and Geraldine L. Teats (Gary); her grandchildren, Randal K. Buckel (Emily) of Cumberland, MD, Jerod R. Buckel (Carolyn) of Wilmington, DE, Tracy A. Logan (Robert) of Harpers Ferry, WV and Cynthia M. Chaney (Brian); her great grandchild Neil Philip Buckel (Amber) of Chambersburg, PA; her grandchildren, Nicholas Kyle Buckel (Kaytlyn) of Frostburg, MD, Kyle Zachery Chaney, Blake Hunter Chaney and Noah James Cowan; and her great great grandchildren, Ford Austin Buckel, Brenna Grace Buckel and Cory Nicholas Buckel.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (219 Cemetery Rd, Accident, MD 21520).
