He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dale and Daisy Marie Smith (Schroyer); his brothers, Lee Schroyer and Barry Schroyer; and his granddaughter Bailynn Daisy Mae Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Mae Smith (Taylor); his children, Zachary Adam Smith (Kathleen) of Pittsburgh, PA, Thomas Edward Smith (Meredith Eibl) of Bruceton Mills, WV and Erin Mae Kirk (Brandon) of Terra Alta, WV; his brother Robert Smith (Kim) of Cleveland, OH; and his grandchildren, Lacey Smith, Anne Smith, Makenna Kirk and George Kirk.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1019 Cove Rd, Accident, MD 21520).
