She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, J. Gustave Lallande and Janice Hoover Lallande; her husband Robert C. Giffen, III; her children, Ann and Kyle Giffen (Katelyn); her grandchildren, Ryn, Carrington and Sutton; her daughter Nicole Giffen; her siblings, Joseph Lallande and Mary Kendrick; and her sisters-in-law, Dagmar Cosby and Nicola Lallande. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Ann is today the best swimmer PR ever knew and we were proud of her accomplishments not only as a swimmer; but as a human being. Never wanted to be in the spotlight; her humbleness was second to none and anybody who knows a little of swimming in PR , knows who Ann Lallande was. Certainly she will be missed and may God comfort her family!! RIP Ann…”
