Ann leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ann’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Ann will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Nicholas Thrasyboulos Matthews of Baltimore; her sister Irene S. Zanakos; her parents, George Stephanu and Sophia Stephanu (Crete); and her granddaughter Christiana. She was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to any of the Greek Orthodox Churches of Baltimore or Annapolis c/o The Philoptochos Society, caring for the needs of the poor and under privileged.
