She is survived by: her children, Cary Mason Feldmann, Joseph Mason Feldmann, Chester Mason Feldmann (Chet), Zoe, Asher, Uli, Preston, Miles, Forest and Sage; her siblings, Jane Anne Poole (Roger Gambatese) of Davis and Larry Mason (Joanne Mason) of Grass Valley, California.; her former husband John Michael Cook of Vienna, Virginia.; and her husband Robert Feldmann of Annapolis.

During the pandemic lockdown, which Ms. Mason spent in an old cottage in Harford County near her youngest son, she transcribed selections from the more than a thousand letters her mother wrote to her father while he served in the Pacific as a naval officer during World War II.
