She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rice and Viola Rice; her husband Earl Turner; her daughter Michaelene Turner-Saunders (Mikey); her stepson Earl Turner, Jr.; her siblings, Joseph Rice, James "Buddy" Rice, Allen Rice, Marie Jefferson and Edith Smith; her close friends, Gladys Seay and Patricia Hunt; and her godson Montre Seay.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tershia Williams (Greg) and Sharon Turner-Smith (Dannie); her pet Zoey; her son-in-law George "Tommy" Saunders; her grandchildren, Spencer Kejuan Lucas, James Williams, Jr. (JJ) and Nikiera Pearson-Miles (Theodore); her stepgranddaughter Melissa Turner; her great grandchildren, King Asa Miles and Prince As'Jah Miles; her sister Brenda Johnson; her siblings-in-law, Sylvia Pindell, Cynthia Turner, Mary Rice and Lawrence Tasker; and her close friends, Beverly Phillips, Susan Offer, James Sankey, Emma "Dookie" Snowden and Peggy Kess. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
