He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Doering and Gertrude Doering; and his nephew Michael Lindermuth. He is survived by: his spouse Jerrilynn Lindermuth; his daughter Nancy; his son-in-law Todd Pope; his daughter Linda Doering; his grandsons, Garrett Pope (Colleen) and Jeremy Pope; his great grandchildren, Brantley of St. Leonard and Grayson Pope of St. Leonard; his brother Herbert Doering; his cousins, Helene Woessner, Joe and Christine Altmann; his brother-in-law John Lindermuth; his niece Nina (Marc Weir); and his great-nephews, Connor of Northumberland and Duncan Weir of Northumberland. He is also survived by extended family in Germany, and many friends.
In preference to flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Fred to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Lewy Body Dementia Association, or the Skin Cancer Foundation.
