He was predeceased by: his wife Robin Beer Sussman; and his parents, Harvey Sussman and Muriel Sussman. He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Kolstad; his children, Jennifer Sussman and Neil Sussman (Sharon DeLeon); his brother Ed Sussman (Ellen Siegel); his partner's children, Brian Kolstad (Susannah) and Lauren Foster (Bradley); Henry, Jack, Margaret, Madison and Peyton.
