With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Johnson (Annapolis, Maryland), who passed away on July 31, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Johnson, Sr. and Lillian Hutton Johnson; his brother Vernon Johnson; and his parents-in-law, John and Pauline Downs.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Downs Johnson; his sons, Keith, Trevin (Karen) and Justen; his brother Franklin Johnson (Belva); his siblings-in-law, John Downs (Michelle), Deborah Harris, Ella Johnson and Gwendolyn Johnson; and his aunt Diane Harrod. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Asbury United Methodist Church (87 West St, Annapolis, MD 21401).
