He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Albert Sherrod and John David Sherrod; and his brothers, Manfred David Sherrod, John David Sherrod Jr. and Leonard Sherrod.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Sherrod (Marcia), Pamela Waller, Marcus Sherrod and Judy Ferebee; his sister Joan D. Ward; his grandchildren, Joshua Sherrod, Shontel Sherrod, Josiah Sherrod, Bryan Coulbourn, Brianna Sherrod, Tevin Sherrod (Bethany) and Bijjanna Sherrod; and also Eloise Sherrod. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
