She was predeceased by: her father Willis Johnson; and her husband Thomas Parker. She is survived by: her mother Gloria Johnson; her sister Verina Hunt; her brother-in-law Leo; her aunt Sheilda Holmes; her sisters-in-law, Eileen Simmons (Eric), Felicia Walker (Sam) and Yvette Clark (Eddie); and her close friends, Virgil Wells, Carolyn Palmer, Avis Terry-Belton, Emily Perry and Karen Giggetts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to STEM and/or education programs for young women, two causes that reflect Greer's lifelong values.
