Hank Ramey Obituary

Master Sergeant Hank Ramey, United States Air Force (Retired), passed away on August 29, 2025, in Annapolis, Maryland. He was 62 years old.

Born on February 26, 1963, in Fowlkes, Tennessee, Hank was the son of Buck and Rebecca “Becky” Ramey Williams. He proudly served his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. His dedication and leadership left a lasting impact on those who served alongside him.

After retiring from the military, Hank continued his work in aviation as an Aircraft Maintenance Manager with Dyncorp. His technical expertise and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of his career.

Hank found joy and peace in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and playing softball—activities that reflected his appreciation for nature and time spent with others.

Hank cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Stacie Ramey; their children Dalton Ramey and Colton Ramey; his children from a previous marriage, Bryce Ramey and Alexa Beene (Lauryn); and his grandson Bentley Beene. His legacy lives on through them and all who were touched by his strength and humor.

He is also survived by his Aunt Wanda Yarbrough McClain (Tom) of Fowlkes; Uncle Theron Yarbrough (Tippy) of Newbern; Cousins, Jeff Yarbrough (Lanea), Shannon Yarbrough, Melissa (Larry) Shawver, Teresa (Bo) Buster and Barry (Verna) Davis.

He was preceded in death by his father Buck Ramey, mother Rebecca Ramey, brother Marty Ramey, Aunt Grace Davis and his two Uncles, Paul Yarbrough and Thomas Yarbrough.

A Celebration of Life will take place on May 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ramey Backyard, 300 Greenridge Dr. Guests are invited to drop in during this time to share memories and honor Hank’s life in true backyard cookout style.

In accordance with his wishes, Hank is on the waiting list for placement at Arlington National Cemetery.
