She was predeceased by: her father Owen Williams; her husband Sherod M. Cooper, Jr.; her son Sherod Cooper III; and her siblings, Robert Williams and Betty Amundsen.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen (Una) of Bowie, David (Renee) of Greenbelt and Elizabeth (Kendall) of Annapolis; her daughter-in-law Debra Cooper of Crownsville; and her grandchildren, Dana, Megan, Elyse, Kathleen, Benjamin, Patricia, Kristen, Morgan, Nikos and Sophie. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
